The Use-It-Up Cookbook Giveaway

Do you really KNOW what’s in all those plastic containers in your refrigerator? This time of year it’s especially easy for things to get pushed to the back of the fridge to make room for the cookie dough, food gifts, eggnog, party goodies, etc. Opening those containers on January 2nd can be a little scary. I don’t know about you, but I hate throwing out food.

Over the years I’ve learned how to not let those little dibs and dabs go to waste. They might not look like much, but with a little creativity they can easily be transformed into a tasty soup, added to a casserole or be the inspiration for a last minute pasta or stir-fry.

But what about the three egg whites? the stale bread, tablespoon of tomato paste and the 1/2 cup of sweetened condensed milk? Is there hope for them? If you’re a baker, there’s always the random container of buttermilk to contend with.

There is, it just takes a little kitchen know-how and if you don’t KNOW-HOW, I can help.

I recently ordered an out of print book called

Holiday-Recipes

Somehow I mistakenly ordered two of the same book and so now I’ve decided to give away my extra copy. It’s my birthday and I’m feeling generous! Simply post a comment on my Facebook Fan https://www.facebook.com/HolidazedBook page letting me know why you’d like for this book to be yours. A winner will be chosen on Saturday, December 17th.

Good luck!
